CABANATUAN CITY – At least 65 RISO machines were donated by the local government to the Department of Education city schools division office here for the distance learning modules.
The high–resolution photocopying machines were turned over by Mayor Myca Elizabeth Vergara to DepEd in simple ceremonies at the city hall on Tuesday, according to the city information and tourism office.
Vergara said the machines were intended for the production of modules for 65 public elementary andsecondary schools under the Cabanatuan City SDO.
She stressed that education has since been among her priorities, thus they immediately looked for a way to help children at the stroke of pandemic.
The lady mayor acknowledged the efforts of education officials and teachers in pursuing the welfare of schoolchildren amid the battle against the coronavirus disease.
Cabanatuan City schools division superintendent Dr. Teresa Mababa, along with school principals and teachers, expressed gratitude for the support the city government has been extending to the DepEd division and students.
