CABANATUAN CITY – This city registered its third coronavirus disease–related death in a 78-year-old dialysis patient on Friday.
The fatality, a woman who came from a posh village in Barangay Sta. Arcadia here, was confirmed Covid positive on Aug. 12 after undergoing swab test on Aug. 9, according to the city information and tourism office.
She experienced fever, cough, and difficulty of breathing. She has a history of travel, the report said.
This developed as four new confirmed cases, that include a nurse, a sales agent, and two teens, were reported here also Friday.
The 30-year-old female nurse and 31-year-old male sales agent both came from Bukang Liwayway, Barangay Daan Sarile this city and are under strict home quarantine, according to CITO.
The teens, a 13-year-old female and 15-year-old male,both came from Purok 6, Barangay MS Garcia are in a quarantine facility, the CITO added.
This city now has 123 confirmed Covid-19 cases, of which 76 have recovered, 44 active and three have died.
The city government reiterates its call to the public to always practice minimum public health standards to contain the spread of Covid-19.
