CABANATUAN CITY – Two elderly women and a 35-year-old surveyor tested positive for coronavirus disease on Wednesday, raising to 57 the total number of confirmed cases in this city, record from city information and tourism office (CITO) showed.
According to CITO, the patients include a 75-year-old woman in Barangay Sanbermecristi who had cough and pneumonia, a 61-year-old woman from Barangay Mayapyap Norte, and the asymptomatic surveyor from Barangay Magsaysay Norte.
None of the 57 confirmed cases here has died while 33 were active and 24 have been discharged from health facilities, the report showed.
This figure forms part of Nueva Ecija’s 154 total confirmed positive cases where 75 have recovered.
Of the latest cases outside this city, the Nueva Ecija inter- agency task force reported the cases of two seafarers, a 28-year-old man and 30-year-old woman from Jaen town, a 23-year-old construction worker from San Antonio, and a 26-year-old teacher in Palayan City,
The patients were quarantined either in hospitals or other facilities.
