Mayor thanks retiring CDC execs

MABALACAT CITY — Words of gratitude rained upon the sendoff for three outgoing Clark Development Corp. vice presidents who opted for an early retirement. 

This, as Mayor Crisostomo Garbo thanked the three outgoing vice presidents of CDC who contributed more than 20 years of service that benefited both the city government and the state-run firm.

In his letter to outgoing VPengineering service group Engr. Alveen Tabag, VP-legal services group Atty. Perlita Sagmit, and VP-business development andenhancement group Evangeline Tejada, Garbo conveyed his sincerest gratitude in behalf of the city government of Mabalacat for all the support and concern that they constantly accorded the city during their tenure at CDC.

The mayor commended Tabag’s initiatives in coordinating the planning and implementation of various road and flood control projects that are mutually beneficial to the Clark Freeport and Mabalacat City.

Garbo also expressed appreciation to Tejada for facilitating the collection of the city government’s twopercent share from the gross income earned (GIE) tax payments of Clark locators. 

“With your help, our collection efficiency has improved from 2017 when I assumed office as city mayor up to the present time,” Garbo said referring to Tejada, who rendered 24 years of service.

The mayor thanked Atty. Sagmit for all the support and concern that she had extended for the city government.

“We congratulate all of you for the accomplishments and milestones that you have achieved in your 20 to 24 years of service in CDC as we wish you all the best as you pursue your next endeavors in your professional and personal life. Dakal a salamat kekayungan abe!” Garbo stressed.

The three outgoing CDC vice presidents served the corporation for more than two decades. Sagmit served for 21 years, Tabag and Tejada for 24 years.

They opted for early retirement in order to avail themselves of a retirement package that may soon be discontinued in government corporate sector.
