CABANATUAN CITY — Two cities and eight municipalities in Nueva Ecija have remained zero of any confirmed case of Covid-19 as of July 15, records from the Department of Health showed.
These are Palayan City and Science City of Munoz, and the towns of Nampicuan, Carranglan, Llanera, Lupao, Talugtug, Bongabon, Peñaranda, and Gen. Tinio.
The Palayan City health office has also reported that one of its 67 suspects tested negative on Wednesday.
The city has 1,705 PUM who have finished quarantine and 110 current PUM, according to the city health’s social media post.
“Palayan City is still Covid-19 free,” it declared.
Despite this, however, the city government has never stopped taking pro-active action to beat the virus, according to the city government’s public reminder. Mayor Adrianne Mae Cuevas said there’s no room for complacency despite their current Covid-free status.
“Kahit nananatiling Covid-19 free ang Palayan City ay hindi dapat makampante, lalo dapat paigtingin ang pag–iingat dahil tuloy-tuloy ang pagtaas ng mga cases sa ibang lugar,” Cuevas was quoted in their announcement as saying.
This as Nueva Ecija has logged some 110 confirmed cases, of which 68 have recovered and four have died.
