Wanted in Zambales, nabbed in Camarines

CASTILLEJOS, Zambales — After a year in hiding from police authorities, a man wanted here to face multiple charges was arrested by elements of in Magarao, Camarines Sur.

In a report sent by the Camarines Sur provincial police to Zambales police director Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr., the arrested suspect was identified as Cornelio Alcones y Fababier, of Purok 5, Barangay San Pablo, Castillejos.

The report said that on April 21, 2020 the suspect was arrested by the Magarao police for violation of enhanced community quarantine protocols.

Upon investigation of the Camarines Sur PNP, it was learned that there was a warrant of arrest for murder without bail and frustrated murder with bail at P200,000 issued against Alcones by Judge Michael Leal of the Olongapo City Regional Trial Court Branch 98.

The suspect had another warrant for his arrest for grave threats to kill with recommended bail of P12,000 issued by Judge Ildefonso Recitis of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court, San Marcelino-Castillejos.

The suspect was fetched from Camarines Sur by Major Jo Louise I. Lo, head of Castillejos PNP, and is now detained at the Olongapo City District Jail.
