CABANATUAN CITY – A suspected drug peddler was killed in a bloody drug sting at St. Joseph St., Barangay Kap. Pepe here at about 2 a.m. Monday, June 1.
The suspect, identified as Einnor Castro, resident of Barangay San Isidro of this city, reportedly fired a .45 pistol after selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover policeman.
This resulted to an “armed encounter” as the lawmen headed by Major Domingo Resma Jr. “defended themselves, fatally hitting the suspect,” police said.
Forensic investigators recovered the suspect’s pistol, two P500 bills buy-bust money, and 13 sachets of suspected shabu.
Police have also seized a single motorcycle supposedly used by the suspect in transporting the illegal drugs.
