BALANGA CITY The distribution of two-way radios and installation of CCTVs have started in Bataan to accelerate contact tracing and identify patients who require immediate medical attention, Gov. Albert Garcia announced Wednesday.

The governor said 450 units of Cignus NX100 radioswill be given to rural health units, municipal health offices, public and private hospitals, and concerned agencies as part of the coronavirus disease command center.

CCTVs were also installed on entries and exit points as well as checkpoints to accelerate contact tracing on the incoming vehicles in the province, he said.

Garcia said this is part of the Covid19 command center to make the flow of communication and information faster and effective in a data base system that will serve as a contact tracing guide and meet the needs of barangays, especially emergency cases.

“This way, we will know which hospital the patient can be taken. Also, through the system the number of occupied beds in different hospitals in the province and allocation of personal protective equipment will be known,” the governor said.

Garcia said the Covid19 command center will serve as a guide to stop the deadly virus. Under the project is the use of an App for the tracking of suspected Covid-infected individuals as well as whom they came in close contact with.
