CABANATUAN CITY
Unless we act as one, we will never heal as one.”

So said a ranking official of Nueva Ecija’s inter-agency task force against Covid-19 on Monday in the wake of the behavior of Metro Manila residents at the start of the modified enhanced community quarantine.

In a message to IATF chief Carlito Galvez, NEIATF spokesman Fr. Arnold Abelardo said provincialofficials were worried upon “seeing on TV and the social media how NCR (National Capital Region) people move about at the start of their MECQ.”

“Crowded people in the malls, markets and transport on the streets acting like Covid-19 does not exist,” he said, urging stricter measure in Metro Manila to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

Abelardo disclosed that NE-IATF is coming out with a manifestation that the province may limit entry topeople from the NCR unless health and safety protocols were strictly followed in the country’s capital.

“We dont have local transmission. Lahat hawa at dala from NCR. We are working so hard here to contain, sacrifice, discipline, mitigate and take care of our patients,” he stressed.

He shared in his social media post pictures of mall goers here in proper physical distancing.
