IBA, Zambales — A 69–year–old male from Candelariatown has been listed as the 21st confirmed case of Covid–19 in the province.Â
Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health officer, said the patient has no travel history and is asymptomatic.
A rapid diagnostic test conducted last May 2 found the patient to be IgM positive and on May 12, a specimen was extracted and tested wherein the Philippine Red Cross found out that the patient was positive of Covid 19.
He is now admitted at the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
Zambales has now 15 recoveries, 397 suspect cases , five active cases with one confined at Baypoint Hospital in the Subic Freeport Zone, and four at PRMMH here in Iba, and 26 waiting for results.
The PHO reported that the 1st batch of RT-PCR test of 120 case swab samples of suspect and active cases were sent to the Philippine Red Cross and the results transmitted last May 16 showed all of the above were found negative except the 69–year-old male from Candelaria.
Those suspect patients admitted at the PRMMH but have been found negative were sent home today.
