CABANATUAN CITY – The Department of Health reported that a confirmed Covid-19 case has fully recovered, according to the Nueva Ecija Inter-Agency Task Force.
The patient is a 43-year-old seaman from Barangay San Roque, San Isidro town who was listed as the second Novo Ecijano to have been positively infected by coronavirus thus tagged Patient #2 is the 16th to have fully recovered.
He was negative in the second swab test, the DOH said, and has finished 14 days quarantine at the Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center and was permitted to go home Monday.
The seaman’s recovery, cut down to 26 the confirmed Covid-19 patients here who are now recuperating in different health facilities in the province, the record showed.
Per latest report by the NEIATF headed by Gov. Aurelio Umali, the province had a total of 872 suspected Covid-19 cases, of which 75 are admitted in hospitals, 145 were discharged, 48 have died, while 604 have submitted themselves for consultation.
Umali reiterated his call to the public to follow quarantine protocol such as stay home, observe social or physical distancing and proper hygiene, among others.
