MABALACAT CITY — As part of its contingency plan to provide relief and assistance to all its constituents amid the extended enhanced community quarantine, the city government will also be distributing P1,000 worth of cash vouchers starting May 4.
Mayor Crisostomo Garbo said that apart from the 25-kilo sack of rice and P1,000 cash that is currently being distributed to different barangays here, the city government will also be distributing cash vouchers worth P1,000 exclusively for essential goods such as medicine, food, and other grocery items.
“Those who have not yet received the half cavan of rice and P1,000 cash is because we are still waiting for the validation of the social welfare office. Potang me-validate na la talaga retang tanggap na SAP that’s the time we will distribute the non-SAP allocation,” Garbo said.
Thirteen barangays have so far received the non-SAP relief allocation, namely Bundagul, Bical, Macapagal Village, Marcos Village, Mamatitang, Mangalit, Paralayunan, Poblacion, Sta. Ines, Sta. Maria, Sto. Rosario, Sapang Balen, and Dolores.
“By May 4, mag–start tamung mamiye food coupons worth P1,000. Malyari deng gamitan panyaling groceries, pamangan, basta essentials. Ali mu pwedi ing personal na bage like sigarilyu, make-up, o nung nanu mang personal effects,” Garbo added.
The mayor also clarified that the 50-kilo sacks of rice which was distributed to the barangay halls recently is different from the non-SAP allocation. He said that these will be repacked and distributed by the respective barangay personnel and will also be distributed per household.
“Itang 50-kilo cavan of rice menibat ya keng Capitol. It is one of the provincial government’s ways of supporting the local government. Every barangay balu mi nung pilan caban ing karelang allocation based ketang guidelines ibat keng Capitol,” Garbo said. “Ali ke pakialaman ita. Atchu keng barangay captain tamu ita on how will they distribute it.”
