MARIVELES, Bataan — A fisherman here does not keep his bountiful catch all to himself but shares it with villagers including those from other barangays.
Edgar Anquilan, barangay population commission worker, said on Saturday fishing boat owner Mario Magadan gave out fish not only to residents of their Barangay Sisiman, but also to other villagers.
Target of their fish donation this Saturday was Zone 3 of Barangay Camaya in Mariveles.

Anquilan took charge in the fish distributions with Magadan, also Sisiman village kagawad, staying in the background.
“He prefers not to be seen by his beneficiaries,” Anquilan said.
According to Anquilan, they distribute from two to three kilos of fish for every family, sharing more or less 100 kilos of galunggong and other fish species at every distribution.
“May mga bangkang pangisda si kagawad. Kapag nakuha na niya puhunan, ang sobra niyang huling isda ay ipinamimigay na niya,” Anquilan said.
He said that they were directed by Magadan to give priority to senior citizens.
