CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Over 100 hospital beds were transported Monday by the Department of Public Works and Highways-Region 3 to the We Heal As One centers for Covid-19 patients at the Clark Freeport Zone and New Clark City in Tarlac.
The beds will be used at the ASEAN Convention Center in CFZ and at the National Government Administrative Center in NCC which were earlier converted to house Covid-19 patients with mild symptoms.
The DPWH undertook the conversion of the sites into health facilities with private firms EEI Corp. and the Villar Group of Companies, and are reported to be ready to admit patients this week.
DPWH-3 director Roseller Tolentino said the region mobilized equipment fleet from its Pampanga and Tarlac engineering district offices and the regional Equipment Management Division from the Logistics Warehouse, NAIA Complex in Pasay City for the transport of the hospital beds.
