MABALACAT CITY — The City Health Office on Thursday confirmed its first positive Covid-19 patient after receiving the situational report from the Department of Health.
The report said the patient is a 67–year-old male who was admitted at an undisclosed private hospital in Magalang last March 17 due to respiratory symptoms and was immediately considered as patient under investigation. The patient was discharged from the hospital last March 25 and is now in stable condition.
The Mabalacat City Covid-19 rapid response team along with the concerned Barangay health response team assures the public that an immediate contact tracing was conducted and all close contact of the patient have been identified and are under a strict 14-day home quarantine as mandated by the guidelines of the DOH.
The local government continues to work closest with the DOH to limit the spread of Covid-19 and advises its constituents to strictly follow the ECQ guidelines and social distancing measures.
