TARLAC CITY—Two positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed by Gov. Susan Yap on Thursday (March 26) in the province.
The governor said the first patient is a 75-year–old female from Barangay Patalan in Paniqui, while the second patient is a 39-year–old male from Barangay Pinasling in Gerona town.
The governor said due to these cases, the province is now placed under a lockdown starting 12:01 a.m. on March 29. Guidelines will be given to all municipal and city mayors in the province.
Yap also asked the public to cooperate and obey the government’s rules and regulations to ensure their safety against the virus.
“We should not take Covid-19 lightly. Out of 1.4 million Tarlaqueños in the province, we only have limited frontliner health workers. Stay home and stay safe,” she added.
