SAN JOSE CITY – This city remains free from the dreaded Covid-19.
This was stressed in a statement by the local government Tuesday amid speculation over the condition of one person, whose identity was not disclosed, reportedly brought to Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center on March 7.
“The person under investigation (PUI) from San Jose City has tested negative for Covid-19 by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM,) as of 11:28 p.m.,” said the statement that was also published in the city’s social media page, citing official communication as per DOH protocol.
“The public is hereby requested to refrain from sharing unverified information that may only cause public fear and anxiety,” it added.
