Pia is among the hundreds of Kapamilya stars who graced the Kapamilya network’s annual charity event at the grand ballroom of Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City on Saturday night, September 14.

The former beauty queen/actress flaunted her sexy curves wearing a printed Filipiniana designed by Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer Ezra Santos of Ezra Couture.

Make-up artist Mickey See gave Pia a full glam beauty look.

Meanwhile, hairstylist Renz Pangilinan gave the former beauty queen a sleek ponytail.

Pia actually did a photoshoot a day before the ABS-CBN Ball wearing her other options.

The Kapamilya actress shared the photos on her Instagram account.

The white Filipiniana was designed by Anthony Ramirez.

Jo Rubio made the Filipiniana with feather details.

The designer also designed a red Filipiniana gown.

The ruffled coral Filipiniana is by Steph Tan.

Cherry Veric made the form-fitting ensemble.

Meanwhile, Michael Leyva designed a pastel green Filipiniana.

This year, ABS-CBN aims to raise funds for the benefit of Bantay Bata 163 and their Bantay Edukasyon Program “to help the children reach their dreams.”

JULIE ANNE SAN JOSE was chosen to host the forthcoming “The Clash” Season 2 together with Rayver Cruz.

They are stepping into the role of the season’s Clash Masters, the post vacated by former Kapuso singer Regine Velasquez, who transferred to ABS-CBN in October 2018.

“I don’t think I have to fill anyone’s shoes because ever since, idol ko na talaga si Ate Reg.

“Simula bata pa lang ako, pinapanuod ko na yung mga movies niya, mga kanta niya, nasa tape pa yon, lahat ng kanta niya, CDs niya, tapes niya.

“And she’s one of the reasons why naging successful talaga ang season one ng The Clash.

“So, this season two naman, we want to give it our best shot din para maibigay sa tao kung ano yung ineexpect din nila from us, and at the same time, we also want to enjoy what we’re doing.

“Kasi since season two ito, may bagong flavor, of course, tapos kaming dalawa ni Rayver ang host, hati kami doon sa ‘The Clash: Isa Laban Sa Lahat!’ na tagline.”

Julie Anne is aware that viewers of The Clash from season one might compare her and Rayver with Regine.

For this reason, the GMA-7 singer/actress/TV host makes sure that viewers will see a diff erent hosting style from her and Rayver.

Julie Anne said, “I think, oo, kasi hindi po talaga dapat namin gayahin because ate is ate, Regine is Regine, and sa kanya lang yun.

“Sa kanya lang yung attack niya doon sa tagline, meron din kami sariling attack.

“Kasi, kapag sinasabi namin yung tagline, hati kami. At saka since it’s season two, kapag dalawa kami magbabato ng linya, mas may impact o mas intense.

“Kung si ate, intense na, hindi naman mas but may sarili din kaming intensity na intense din.”

The new season of The Clash is set to air on September 21, after Pepito Manaloto and before Daddy’s Girl on GMA-7’s Saturday prime-time block.

Even though Julie Anne did not expect that she would be hosting The Clash, she admitted that she prayed for her to be chosen.

It finally dawned on her that she would be chosen as the host when she was assigned to helm Studio 7’s segment titled “Duet With Me,” a mini-singing contest where the winners would become part of The Clash’s finalists.

“Hindi ko na-feel, I didn’t really realize na parang, okay, merong ‘Duet With Me.’

“Then, parang napag-isip-isip ko na, after mga a few weeks, na parang uy, tuluy-tuloy na siya, every week, meron na kaming segment sa Studio 7 na ‘Duet With Me,’ then I got the news na I’m hosting The Clash.”

How did management tell her about the news?

She recalls with a laugh, “It’s very casual. Sobrang casual lang talaga like dumaan ako ng Artist Center, ‘Julie, ikaw host ng The Clash, ha.’ Wala talaga!

“Pero after that, sinabihan ako, tinext ako, I got a call.

“Thank You, Lord. Thank You po talaga.

“Kasi before, noong nabalitaan ko na magkakaroon ng The Clash season two, nagpe-pray din naman ako, nagpe-pray talaga ako.

“Siguro, ang sarap sa feeling na mapasama sa The Clash kasi may bago na namang aspriing singers na madi-discover, di ba? So we’re actually building a new breed of singers.”

Apart from Julie Anne and Rayver, Rita Daniela and Ken Chan are also part of The Clash as journey hosts.

Julie said that they are all enjoying the experience of hosting a competition, especially for her and Rita, who are both products of Popstar Kids.

“Kasi ako galing din ako ng singing comeptition ni Rita and alam namin yung feeling na nasa isang competition ka.

“So alam namin kung ano yung napi-feel, there are times na mapi-feel namin na hindi enough yung ginawa ko, and there are times na you did a great job today.

“But, at the end of the day, we just want everyone to enjoy, that’s like our main goal and to show our audience, our viewers na ang daming magagaling na Pilipino, sobrang daming magagaling at ito produkto ito ng The Clash.”
