MABALACAT, Pampanga – Cartographic sketch of the two suspects in the killing of a businessman and his uncle here on Sunday had been established as police are searching for more information leading to speedy solution of the murder case.

Town police chief Supt. Rolly Mendoza said yesterday that they started to compare the sketches of the suspects from the records of other offices of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The suspects shot to death Leonardo Licup and his uncle, Dolly Licup, while they were in the car cruising along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Mabiga at about 12:15 p.m.

They fled using a motorcycle after committing the crime.

Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales, for his part, asked Mendoza to “immediately solve the case.” He described it as an “isolated case.”

“The victims are really targets of the killers and the crime could have happened anywhere,” said Morales.
The victims are reportedly natives of Porac town and own a commercial building in Mabiga. Leonardo rents a house at Green Meadows Subd., Mabiga, it was learned.

Morales said that based on the initial police investigation, “personal affair or relationship gone sour is also being considered as a motive.”

Earlier, police have theorized that the killings could be related to quarrying operations. The Licups reportedly operates a quarry business at the Sacobia area here.

Police cited witnesses as describing the gunman as short-haired, fair-complexioned, lean of built, about 5’10” tall and 20 to 30 years old, while his accomplice was said to be chubby, dark-complexioned, 5’5" tall and 20-25 years old.
