SM Clark hosts Wonderful Indonesia

    CLARK FREEPORT – The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia has embarked on a three-city tour in the Philippines to increase the number of Filipino tourists coming to Indonesia, the world’s largest island country.

    On Wednesday, the Wonderful Indonesia Team headed by its director for marketing Ricky Fauzi, held an activity at the SM City Clark here regaling mall goers as well as the public with an immersion in Indonesian culture, particularly its traditional dances and its dancers wearing carnival costumes.

    Native Indonesian coffee from Mindaling North Sumatra, Flores East Nusa Tenggara, Toraja South Sulawesi and Bali as well as snacks were off ered to mall goers and members of the media covering the event.

    Visitors were also treated to a virtual reality experience presenting 10 priority destinations.

    On March 8 to 9, the Wonderful Indonesia Team were at the Glorieta 2 Activity Center in Makati where Manileňos were invited to visit Indonesia.

    On July 12 to 14, the Wonderful Indonesia Team will go to Davao City in Mindanao where it will join the Indonesia Consulate General in the area for its planned activity.

    The Wonderful Indonesia Team will replicate its success in 2018 as it strived to promote Indonesian destinations – Bali, Borobudur, Lombok and Jakarta among others – in the Philippines.

    The team said the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia from January to May 2019 stands at 112,387, which can be graphically shown increasing each month in the same period.

    In Clark, the Wonderful Indonesia Team was supported by travel agencies led by Ties That Travel, MAVP Travel and Tours, The Travel Order, Flight Destinations Travel and Tours, Joy Meets World Travel and Tours, and Amega Travel and Tours Services.
