ANGELES CITY – From barangay hall to barangay complex.
This will be the plan of mayoralty bet Edgardo “EdPam” Pamintuan of the Lakas-Kampi-CMD party once he wins in a bid to improve the delivery of basic services in 33 villages here.
He said they will transform the “lowly barangay hall into a modern barangay complex that would serve as a One-Stop-Center.”
Pamintuan added that “this will effectively deliver basic social and administrative services to barangay residents in the city.”
The former cabinet secretary said the modern complex will be equipped with state of the art computers, office supplies and vehicles to effectively deliver social services in the barangays.
Among the services to be set up at the barangay complex include: a Day Care Center for the young children; Health Services Center for nutrition programs as well as the prevention of communicable diseases; Botika ng Barangay to avail cheap medicines and medical supplies; Legislative Hall for the Sangguniang Pambarangay with a dual purpose as the Hearing Hall for the administration of Katararungang Pambarangay; Administrative Hall for the issuance of barangay permits, clearance and community tax certificates; and Information Communication and Technology Center to provide free access to the internet and other IT related services.
“The modern barangay complex is a complete one stop center that will cater to the needs of the barangays in the city that will effectively deliver basic social and administrative services,” Pamintuan said.
