Aviation firm gives $20T to Ondoy, Pepeng victims

    CLARK FREEPORT – “Rest assured that your donations would be put into good use for the victims of typhoons.”

    Thus said yesterday Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) Secretary General Gwendolyn Pang as they received $10,000 from the SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) represented by its General Manager Liu Kim Yoong.

    The SIAEC also gave $10,000 to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) represented by Region III Division Chief Maribel Blanco.

    The SIAEC, largest aviation repair and maintenance firm in South East Asia, gave the donations to the victims of typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng through Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) led by President and CEO Victor Jose Luciano.     

    Luciano disclosed that other investors at Clark such as the United Parcel Services (UPS) are also set to give their donations to the typhoons victims.

    Former Justice Leonor Ines Luciano, mother of Luciano, also attended the simple turnover ceremony at the CIAC boardroom.

    Others who grace the occasion were CIAC officials Alex Cauguiran and Romeo Dyoco.
