Thus appealed the family of Rudy de Vera, chief security officer of the Kalangitan landfill in Capas town, Tarlac, who survived an ambush attempt in nearby Barangay Tabun, Mabalacat last August 28.
De Vera was on his way home to Marisol Subd., here, when shot several times by four men, two of whom he was able to identify.
De Vera filed frustrated murder case against Remigio M. Buscayno, a certain Pitut,and two other John Does. The case is still pending before the fiscal’s office in the City of San Fernando.
In his affidavit, De Vera said he was riding his motorcycle along MacArthur Highway when Buscayno and the three others suspects riding in tandem on two motorcycles shot and hit him several times in different parts of the body.
Buscayno, of Barangay Sta. Rita, Capas, was a former chief security officer of Metro Clark Waste Management Corp. (MCWMC). He was replaced by De Vera.
De Vera disclosed that Buscayno had threatened to kill him.
Cristina R. De Vera, wife of the victim, also submitted an affidavit stating that Buscayno and Pitut had tried to kill her husband.
De Vera was able to tell his wife who ambushed him before he collapsed on the way to the Angeles University Foundation Hospital.
A jeepney driver plying the Mabalacat-Angeles route spotted De Vera at the pavement of the national highway and brought him to the hospital.
But De Vera asked the driver to pass by their house at Marisol and pick up his wife.
