CLARK FREEPORT – “We would continue to push for the programs that we have started especially when I was still a vice mayor and a city councilor and our commitment to the people of Angeles City is to level up.”

Thus, said former Angeles City councilor and vice mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting during the “News@Hues” media forum organized by the Pampanga Press Club in cooperation with Park Inn Hotel by Radisson Clark here on Tuesday where she was guest.

She said among these are women empowerment which includes programs like “Women Heal” which is laid out specifically to address health issues of women.

“Very particularly the cancer awareness and helping women with cancer,” she said.

“And one of the most important needs of women in Angeles City is their livelihood. So, we will continue with the “Kabuhayan Patrol” and our commitment to the people of Angeles City is we will now level up,” Cabigting said.

“Gawan tamu pu uli itang programa tamung mitatak kareng pusu da reng tau na aburi da anya dininan dakatang pag kakataon pilan beses at y level up tala pa pu,” she vowed.

“We have also many projects on education and education governance where we help public schools,” she added.

“We have a project dubbed: Sulung Kaalaman (Onward to Knowledge) and Mobile Library to encourage reading among our young students,” Cabigting said.

“These are the major programs that we want to push and improve once we will be given another chance by the Angeleňos to come back,” she said.

“We also want to pursue the “Gabay sa Pag Himlay” so that we can extend assistance to our indigent constituents in case of the inevitable,” she said.

Cabigting said this was also discussed by Team Lazatin which it wants to pursue to make it into an ordinance so that all indigent Angeleňos will be benefitted.

She said this is so because this is the specialty of one of their team members, councilor Philip Pangilinan Samson.

Cabigting said she is also considering to pursue her other programs in the city council so that they will have sustainability which could also be put into ordinance.

Meanwhile, Cabigting said she draws her strength from the outpouring of support from the people especially with their warm greetings during their campaign sorties.

She added: “Masantging naman pu ing lakad mi, panamdaman mi naman pu karing reception da reng tau na nung maka nanu pu itang mapali dang pamangangap kekami.”

Cabigting, who is running in tandem with Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, is up against vice mayoralty bets Maricel “Marang” Morales who is running in tandem with Alex Cauguiran under the Kambilan Da Reng Abe party, and Edgardo “Edu” Pamintuan, Jr. who is running in tandem with Vice Mayor Brian Matthew Nepomuceno under the administration’s Partido Abe Kapampangan.
