SAN FELIPE, Zambales – A Small Town Lottery (STL) agent was arrested by operatives of Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the town police station during drug operation in Barangay Feria here.
Police Capt. Horace Zamuco, San Felipe Police chief, identified the suspect as Alberto Acopiado y Acierto, 27, of Barangay San Rafael.
Acopiado was nabbed within the vicinity of public market selling transparent plastic sachet of marijuana worth P500 to a police undercover agent.
Recovered from the suspect were three plastic sachets containing suspected marijuana leaves, marked money, a mobile phone, disposable lighter and empty cigarette pack.
Police record also bared that Acopiado was a drug surrenderee during the Oplan Tokhang and graduated from the “Pagbangon” rehabilitation program in 2016.
The suspect is now detained at San Felipe Police detention cell facing charges for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Iba, Zambales.
