MONCADA, Tarlac – A one-storey medical facility located in Barangay San Pedro here, which is among the civic assistance projects of this year’s Balikatan, is now being constructed by Filipino and American troops.
With this development, the Department of Health (DOH) and the municipal government have thrown their full support to the project that will benefit not only this this town’s residents but also other neighboring municipalities.
“This Balikatan project is timely because one of the goals of the Philippine Health Agenda is responsiveness. With this goal, we aim to ensure availability and accessibility of health facilities,” DOH Tarlac Head Maria Noel Lim said.
“It means that every barangay must have a health station that can be easily accessed by the people,” she added.
“On our part, we will make this health station a recipient of our Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya or TSeKaP program through the provision of equipment and medicines,” Lim assured.
The municipal government also pledged to provide personnel for the facility and additional medicines. The medical facility will be completed by April 10.
