SUBIC, Zambales – The most wanted man in Central Luzon and listed as notorious leader of a drug syndicate operating in this province was killed while two others were arrested by elements of SWAT Team of the Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO) after a brief chase in the hinterlands of Sitio Tahimik, Barangay Calapacuan of this town.
Police Senior Supt. Felix Verbo, Jr., ZPPO director, identified the fatality as one Ali Nali, alias “Tata” who have been wanted for almost 6 years.
Nali was reported leader of the Karansang Drug Group that has gained notoriety in illegal drugs operations in the province.
Arrested were Rolando delos Santos y Estacio and Aiza Sally y Diagracia, both of Purok 3, Barangay Calapacuan.
Two grenades, seven plastic sachets of shabu, a shotgun, drug paraphernalia, cellphone and money amounting to P14,000 was confiscated from the two.
The two suspects will be charged with various cases at the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Olongapo City.
Report said, the police was serving a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Raymond Viray of RTC Branch 75 for murder without bail when Nali fired at the police prompting the police to fire back and killed the suspect on the spot.
Report said Nali was responsible for the death of one PO1 Michael Gangano of Subic Police while he was being served a warrant of arrest sometime in 2011 and an asset of the CIDG some few years back.
Reports gathered that suspect also lobbed a grenade to the raiding team of the Zambales PNP six years ago when they tried to arrest him at Barangay Matain but escaped and went into hiding in Nueva Ecija and Pampanga.
Police recovered from Nali an M-16 rifle, a .45 pistol and various ammunitions.
