COMMUNICATION is significant in uniting the stakeholders and the community towards the achievement of goals. The school heads should communicate the school vision – mission to both internal and school stakeholders and make it more comprehensive and acceptable for them. The school vision and mission as well as practices should be made relative for the people who visit the school so that they are constantly reminded of the importance of the school’s goals and that is effective communication.

The success of the school is usually determined by the school leader’s ability to communicate with his teachers, staff , students and parents. The school is usually challenged in a day to day communication either oral or written. As a leader, you must see to it that whatever is being communicated must be fully and clearly understood to the target audience. Concerns and issues that bear significant impact to school operations must be cleared by the school head effectively. Intended meaning of what is being communicated about is a good sign of communicative competence if it is understood and builds relationships with the school personnel and other community stakeholders.

Both written and oral communication must mainly consist of short message through memorandum or directive to teachers and other schools staff . The school head may develop much longer communication if he wants to convince and persuade the school stakeholders regarding his proposal for development. The school vision and mission are likewise translated into reality if they are well communicated to the concerned people. A well-defined vision / mission influence actions and behavior of stakeholder to support desirable results.
