PAMPANGA is known as the Christmas Capital of the Philippines, the birthplace of the giant lanters that light up the holiday skies. The largest incarnations of the “parol”, these dazzling handcrafted Christmas lanterns symbolize the Star Of Bethlehem.
Each lantern stand about 20 ft and features more than 5,000 lights. they are a sight of behold as with each parol displaying a kaleidoscope of light, music and color.
Now on it’s 4th year, SM City Pampanga’s Biggest Lantern Of Hope brings light and music to the Christmas Capital of the philippines. The Pampanga Eye, the biggest and tallest ferris wheel in the Philippines which was set up for the holiday season through a pyro musical show as it brighten the sky in a grand magical firework display, colorful dancing lights synced with the all-time favorite Christmas carols. At the same time, it has showcased video images to cap off SM’s 60th Anniversary celebrations.
The 65-meter (0r 213 feet) tall ferris wheel sparkled with 12,232 dancing led lights as well an on-ground and aerial fireworks.
Guests enjoy the spectacular 10-minute pyro technic show which took place at The Ampitheatre which commenced at around 6:30pm.
