OLONGAPO CITY – Four suspected carnappers were arrested by joint operatives of Provincial Highway Patrol Team and Candelaria Municipal Police Station during police operations in Barangay Uacon, Candelaria.
PHPT-Zambales chief Inspector Marlon Agno led the operatives composed of Candelaria police head Senior Inspector Ronaldo Valenzuela, SPO3 Christopher John Pulgan and SPO2 Allan Lomibao in arresting suspects Adrian Epoc y Agustin, 19, Mark Darwin Aquino, 22, Frenedee Edejer, 23, all residents of Barangay Uacon; and Hendrex Sanches y Sanches, 25, of Barangay Sinabacan, also in Candelaria town.
Recovered from the suspects were various brands of motorcycles.
Report said that during the conduct of “valid search incidental to lawful arrest,” the arresting officer was able to recover from the right front pocket of suspect Epoc one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
The suspects now face charges for violation of R.A. 10883 Section 14 (Defacing or Tampering with Serial Numbers of Motor Vehicle Engines, Engine Block and Chassis).
Epoc also faces additional charges for violation of Section 11 of R.A. 9165.
