Yassi is single right now, but she is not bitter.
She believes there’s joy in focusing on the people who bring sweetness into her life, like her father.
“Wala siyang kasing sweet. Sa lahat ng bagay, hinuhuli niya ang sarili niya, so laging lahat ng mga tao before him,” she says.
“Lagi niyang iniisip kung ano ‘yung mga magpapasaya sa amin, ano ‘yung magpapa-smile sa amin.”
Yassi revealed that she chooses to celebrate life and she does not focus on hugot.
“Masasabi ko rin naman na may mga phases ang lahat ng tao sa pagiging bitter, lalo na ‘pag galing sa pain or breakup,” she says.
“Pero masaya maging masaya, masarap ‘yung sweet, [at mas] masarap yung nakangiti ka kaysa nakasimangot.”
She acknowledges that choosing to be happy after a breakup is not easy for everyone:
“Puwedeng hindi pa sila nakaka-move on, puwedeng hindi pa sila nakakahanap ng ibang bagay na magpapasaya sa kanila, or kulang pa sila ng panibagong sweetness.”
Yassi shares what keeps her smiling, regardless of her relationship status:
“Nag-e-enjoy ako kapag samasama kami ng friends ko, or sama-sama ng family.
“Usually dinner ‘yan, or minsan movie. Kung hindi man sa bahay, sa labas.” Yassi isn’t one for bold gestures, though.
“Kahit simple, yummy food, okay na.”
To level up the fun at these gatherings with friends, she suggests,
“If you want na simulan ang fun ng barkada, why don’t you just open a bottle of San Miguel Flavored Beer?
“It is also nice to relax sometimes, especially when you drink moderately.”
Yassi also believes that outdoor activities make for sweet moments with friends and family:
“I like adventure and sports. I think sports is still an adventure to me every day.”
She is into mountain climbing, biking, swimming, and going to the beach. If she can do all of these while traveling, that would be her sweet spot. What is the sweetest thing someone has done for Yassi?
“Last year, pagkauwi ko sa bahay, when I was nominated pa lang for an award—nominated pa lang, ha—I came home to flowers and a teddy bear.”
Who was it from?
“Hindi naman special someone [at] romantic.”
Yassi follows her dad’s example when it comes being sweet towards others.
“Mapapansin ng kahit sino—tanungin mo sa friends ko, even on the set—I am really sweet to a lot of people.
“To ‘yung mga kasama ko sa tent sa taping and to my friends, I am really, I think, a sweet person, so I guess—especially to the ones I love—extra [sweet ako]. “I think sacrifice is one of the sweetest things. Siguro ‘yung sweetest way ko of showing love [for someone] is that I will accept a lot of things—even if they hurt me—as long as it makes you happy.”
In her Instagram account, a netizen commented because she could relate with what Aiko went through.

However, Aiko did not give details on her current boyfriend. In 2017, Aiko admitted that she is dating a politician from the North.
“Mabait, nakakatawa, kaya hindi mahirap pakisamahan.”
The politician has already met Aiko’s children several times.
Aside from Jomari Yllana, Martin Jickain, Aiko had a relationship with Bulacan, Bulacan Mayor Patrick Meneses.
Together with John Prats and Angelica Panganiban they put up Bright Bulb Production.
Their group is the co-producer of “Tagpuan” concert of Moira.
“Balak din naming mag-produce ng movie. Sana later this year. Balak din naming mag-produce ng indie movie,” John will also direct while Angelic writes.
Is there any possibility that Sam and John’s friendship would lead to a different level?
“I guess, you’ll never know,”
“You’ll never know. We have a good friendship right now.”
Sam admits he and Angelica are good friends.
“We’re just friends. We just like to joke around na more than friends kami kapag nagkikita kami, pero we’re just friends,” Both Sam and Angelica are single.
Wouldn’t there be any chance?
“I think I said it early, I’m not at the point na I’m ready to be in a relationship. After this last breakup, I realized that there’s a lot of things that I need to work for myself first.
“It may sound like an excuse to a lot of people, but that’s the truth. Maybe, a lot of things arise in relationship just because I need to work on myself first.
“I’m going spiritually. I don’t wanna sound too spiritual and preachy, but I’ve found a great church, and I’m very active and I’m joining the bible study.
“I’m growing as a person. I’m really happy, and I know after this growth, kung sino man yung the right one, I’ll just know.”
Sam’s last relationship was with Marie Jasmine.
