“ALAM NI Kris kung saan siya nararapat, and that girl knows what she deserves and how to get there. Huwag tayong magkunwari na nagdunung-dunungan at mas marami pa tayong alam kesa sa kanya. That girl is brilliant.” says boy Abunda referring to Kris Aquino’s network transfer.

“Sa akin, for somebody as big and as talented as Kris, everything is possible.”
In September, Kris left ABS which became her home studio for the past 20 years. If boy would be asked to choose, would he consider Kris to make a comeback on ABS?
“No… Kung ako ang masusunod, I want her to follow her heart.
“I mean, only Kris knows what’s best for her.
“I will support what she does, but I am not in a position to tell her where she’ll go.
“Alam ni Kris kung saan siya nararapat, and that girl knows what she deserves and how to get there.

Being Kris’s close friend and business manager what’s the latest news on her international film?
“What you know is what I know. I’m glad that she got the role.
“I can’t speak about it. I don’t know much about it.
“I am not in authority to speak about it in details.
“May mga konti akong alam, pero hahayaan ko sila na maganunsiyo.”
But he’s happy with what’s happening with Kris.
“Oo naman, oo naman… I am happy. I’m always happy for Kris.”

“Pero hindi kami yung she’s dependent on me or I’m dependent on her.
“Pero pareho pa rin. Nagkakausap sa telepono, nagkakamustahan.”
On the other hand, Boy was the first recipient of the Joe Quirino Lifetime Achievement Award from the 1st Entertainment Editors’ Awards or Eddys.the award was named after Joe Quirino who used to host “Seeing Stars With Joe Quirino”.

“I used to watch his show. So, I’m really honored.
“Sabi ko nga kanina, I received my award with love and so much respect—the iconic Joe Quirino.”

“But I had the chance to know Mang Joe. Napakasimpleng tao. Bandang dito ‘yan nakatira, sa Project 4.
“Meron nga akong anecdote niyan. Isang beses kasikatan niya, nakita ko siyang nagdyi-jeep.”
