The 1, 193 brand new Lenovo Netbooks were given by Garbo to the teachers on March 9 at the Xevera Lot Only Gym adjacent to the city hall in Barangay Tabun here.
“Another remarkable history has been made in the city as Mabalaqueño public school teachers fl ocked together to receive their brand-new Lenovo Netbooks…,” said a statement from the City Information Office (CIO).
“Mayor Crisostomo Garbo’s heart was filled with nothing but love and gratefulness as he shared this very moment with the educators of the city. The local chief executive offered all the glory and praises to God for the tremendous amount of blessings the city receives,” the statement added.
Dr. Ma. Irelyn Tamayo, Department of Education (DepEd) Mabalacat Division superintendent, congratulated the teachers for their brand new laptops that “they have waited for so long.”
The teachers, meanwhile, expressed their sincerest gratitude to the city government and the DepEd.
“Through these equipment, the educators will now have a faster, easier and better access to high-quality teaching,” the CIO statement said.
