This developed after Aqua Planet passed the third party certification last week which means that it is now at par with international standards in terms of safety.
BBI president Dr. Irineo “Bong” Alvaro, Jr. said everything is automated inside the water park which will be open from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
BBI is the developer of the 10-hectare water theme park located in the northwest section of this freeport and the grand Midori Hotel and Casino nearby.
Alvaro said water proof wrist bands which have embedded RFID microchips are given to every guest before entering the water park which can then be loaded at designated loading booths and used for practically everything and everywhere inside.
Alvaro said two wave pools one for children and one for adults, which is nine feet deep, are among the attractions of the P2.5 billion water theme park.
Aqua Planet had a three-day ceremonial lighting and soft opening event from November 23 to 25 last year.
First to relish the Aqua Planet’s 25 state-of-the-art water attractions were Aeta children as well as 100 children from three orphanages in Pampanga.
Aqua Planet general manager Rafael Soarez said some of the water facilities include the Spiral Slides, Octopus Racers, Aqua-Loop, Tornado, Wave River and Flow Rider.
Aqua Planet water theme park is only about 10 minutes away from the Clark International Airport here. Aqua Planet tickets are available at the gates or at Midori Hotel and SM malls.
Aqua Planet aims to cater both to local and international tourists with its endless fun and adventure.
Meanwhile, Soarez said the world’s largest swimming lessons will happen in every water park around the world.
He said Aqua Planet is now aiming to hold the biggest swimming lessons for thousands of kids to break the Guinness Book of World Records.
But Soarez said Aqua Planet’s version will have a “twist” because “special kids” will be invited to join. “This would be a world-wide affair,” he said.
