SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – Central Luzon residents are being encouraged to book their flights at the Clark International Airport (CIA) which is more convenient, safe and secure.

During the North Philippines Roadshow presentation here recently, Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) OIC Alexander Cauguiran said the existing terminal of CIA has a 4.2 million- passenger capacity that is why residents of the region are being encouraged to book their flights there instead.

Cauguiran noted that an estimated 10 million airline passengers from the 40 million recorded at the NAIA last year were from northern and central Luzon.

He emphasized that the ease of transportation is one factor for airline passengers to consider flying through Clark since it is connected to many of the major road networks like the North Luzon, Subic-Clark-Tarlac, the and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union expressways.

Cauguiran also said Clark is now connected to the major islands of the Philippines because of the increasing number of domestic flights from the airport.

“Our airport is already connected to Mindanao, Visayas, and even in Palawan. There are now flights to Davao, Cebu, Kalibo, Caticlan, Puerto Princesa, Busuanga, Tagbilaran, Cagayan De Oro, Nueva Vizcaya and even to the private island of Balesin,” he stressed.
