BORACAY ISLAND – A private enclave right in the center of an entertainment complex complete with five-star amenities and with easy access to more than half a kilometer of white, pristine beach will be fully opened by the fourth quarter of this year.

The P2.2 billion Savoy Hotel Boracay will have all of its 559 rooms and facilities opened by October.

Savoy Hotel is located at the center of a 150-hectare property at the Newcoast Station here – the first and only master planned leisure-oriented community on the northeastern side of this island.

Adie A. Gallares, Savoy Hotel GM, said Savoy was coined by Dr. Andrew Tan, Megaworld Corp. chairman, which is actually a place in France once visited by Tan.

Of its 559 rooms, 377 are deluxe twin rooms, 125 are deluxe queen, 18 corner deluxe rooms, 36 premiere deluxe rooms, 20 executive suites and even eight PWD rooms, Gallares said.

It has complete facilities including swimming pools, fitness center, spa, function and meeting rooms, full-time concierge and almost round-theclock transport services.

The GM said by the end of 2019, Savoy will be completely finished. From April to June, 273 rooms will be done and by July to August another 350 rooms will be completely finished and by September 1 onwards, the hotel will open full house, he added.

The hotel’s main lobby is of modern design and very millennial “because we wanted to touch the minds and thoughts of the millennial market,” Gallares continued.

The Vienne lobby lounge fronting the main bar can accommodate 80 people, he added.

It was designed by FB Eye, a Singaporean design and consultancy fi rm, but executed by Megaworld locally, he said.

“We did not use the conventional desks in the reception area but use individual desk pods which blend in as part of the furniture,” he noted.

Colors are vibrant that is why we have created our tagline or mantra as “color your experience,” he explained.

Gallares said Megaworld Corp. took over the 150-hectare property three years ago and plans to finish its full development by 2020 which will include two more hotels, the 442-room Belmont Boracay and the 555- room Chancellor Boracay.

With Savoy’s 559 rooms, Belmont’s 442 and Chancellor’s 555, the complex will have a total of 1,564 rooms in the next three years, said Gallares.

He also said a casino is a projected addition which will be handled by the Travelers’ the group of Resorts World.

The property included four clusters of residential condominium units. Oceanway Residences has 380 plus units while in the next three months construction will begin for the Oceanway Villas which are high end units.

Gallares explained that the property is operating “as a full hotel platform” with “time sharing scheme” open for investors.

Guests can also opt to play golf at the Fairways and Bluewater, an 18-hole golf course on the property.
