DOLE holds 2nd Labor-Management Forum at Clark

    CLARK FREEPORT – As part of its month-long Labor Day activities, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently conducted its second Labor-Management Forum here.

    Some 200 representatives of companies based in Pampanga and in this freeport attended the forum which was organized by DOLE in cooperation with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Pampanga Chapter and the Pampanga Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (PTIPC).

    “The activity is in line with our effort of sustaining a harmonious working environment amongst labor, management and government in the province,” DOLE Provincial Director Arlene Tolentino said.

    Among the topics discussed included Department Order No. 131-13 otherwise known as the “Rules on Labor Laws Compliance System,” Work Ergonomics and Secrets to Financial Success. There were also orientations and demonstrations on massage therapy and soap making during the forum.

    A bloodletting activity was also held by IBP members in partnership with Philippine National Red Cross as well as free legal advice to the attendees and free notarial services to blood donors.

    DOLE, IBP and the PTIPC will be capping the month with a tree-planting activity on Mt. Arayat on May 30.
