CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Do you want to become a policeman? The National Police Commission (Napolcom)
is inviting Central Luzon residents to take the entrance exam of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on April 27 and have a promising career as a law enforcer.
The exam is open to all civilians aged 30 years and below who are holders of a bachelor’s degree and has a height of 1.62 meters for males and 1.57 meters for females. Police Officers I (PO1) whose appointments are temporary due to lack of appropriate eligibility can also take the exam, Napolcom Regional Director Manuel Pontanal said.
Those who are interested and qualified are enjoined to read the requirements and download the application
form and index card at www. napolcom.gov.ph. The forms can also be obtained for free at the Napolcom Central Luzon office at the Government Center in Barangay Maimpis here.
“Napolcom utilizes the on-line examination application scheduling system for the scheduling of the filing of applications. It has been set from February 10-14. The period of personal filing will be from March 3-14 for those
who will take the exam at the Republic Central Colleges in Angeles City and March 17-28 for the examinees in
Nueva Ecija High School in Cabanatuan City,” Pontanal said.
He reiterated that only applicants with a confirmed scheduled appointment with reference number will be entertained. The exam covers multiple- choice items in general information including Philippine Constitution and Government, Philippine History, PNP Law and History, Laws and Jurisprudence, Five Pillars of the Criminal Justice System and current events.
It shall also have verbal reasoning (vocabulary, comprehension, and grammar); quantitative reasoning (basic concepts, and problem-solving skills); and logical reasoning (induction, deduction, and synthesis).
It will simultaneously be held in over 20 venues across the country. Passers will obtain the rank of PO1.
