Love Beyond Measure

The couple has been together for more than eight years.  Jun Topacio is a Business Analysis Manager for a US firm while Sheryl Sevilla was formerly involved in Human Resources and Research work. But when they started planning for the wedding, she decided to focus on this and on the business they put up together as a couple

Jun and Sheryl exchanged their marriage vows last November 23, 2008 at the St. Joseph the Worker Chapel in Clark Freeport Zone. It actually took them more than a year to plan this event since the wedding date got moved a couple of times due to several unforeseen events. They originally opted for a Tagaytay wedding but after some brainstorming, they finally decided to hold it in Clark Freeport Zone, which is closer to the Bride’s hometown and very accessible for all the guests via the North Luzon Expressway.  Sheryl is from Malolos, Bulacan and Jun is from Cavite.

Since their family had availed of a membership in Fontana Leisure Parks, they decided to hold the wedding reception there. The first step they took was to make sure that the Fontana Convention Center was available for their wedding.  After confirming the date, their next step was to look for a wedding planner to help them in selecting the suppliers and make sure that everything will be in order.  Jenny Imbag, Assistant Sales Manager of Fontana introduced me to them. The rest, as they say, is history. Through the course of the year, every time Jun and Sheryl visited Fontana, they usually call all the suppliers and invite them for a meeting and dinner at their villa. It also became a bonding moment for all of us and come wedding day, everything went as smoothly as expected. 

The wedding gown and groom’s Barong Tagalog was perfectly created by Bulacan’s most sought after wedding designer Jo Rubio.  Francois Roxas did the hair and make-up styling while Alan Dalusung, Chie Basco and Bulon Yturralde of Photo Central documented everything in photos and video. 

The aisle at the chapel looked heavenly with white asters elegantly arranged by Bernard Dalusung of Country Blossoms. He also arranged a beautiful bridal bouquet made of green cymbidium orchids, pink carnations and purple calla lilies. The bride walked down the aisle as the heavenly voices of Quintah filled the air.

At the reception, the Jasmine Hall of the Fontana Convention Center was filed with white calla lilies and pink roses. Right after Jun and Sheryl entered the hall, they did their first dance as husband and to the tune of When I Met You arranged by Paolo Lopez of Quintah.

The most touching moment during the reception was when Sheryl showed her surprise video for Jun.  She was able to ask Jun’s relatives and friends from abroad to greet him via video since they could not be physically present during the wedding. 

After which, Sheryl’s parents—Nathaniel and Francisca Sevilla delivered their speech followed by Jun’s mom—Evangelina Topacio who shared a very inspiring message to the newlyweds.  She was also able to distribute copies of her message to the guests.  The banquet ended with Jun and Sheryl’s speech thanking everyone for coming to Clark and joining them as they embarked on a new journey as husband and wife. The guests went home with key chains with tape measure as souvenirs while the whole members of the entourage were given verdant potted plants as tokens.

Jun and Sheryl were truly blessed that special day. Both of them had their sights on one thing and both of them got more than what they bargained for. Their love for one another through out the years and the years to come is and will be a testament to love beyond measure. To Jun and Sheryl, congratulations and cheers to you!
