CASTILLEJOS, Zambales — A man was arrested in hot pursuit operation after disregarding a police check point at GoVic Highway in Sitio Baring, Barangay San Nicolas here.
Chief Inspector Rolando Dellezo, head of Castillejos PNP, identifi ed the suspect as Jegar Viado y Mendoza 38, of Sitio Mabangcal, Barangay Beddeng, San Narciso, Zambales.
Report said the suspect was riding a single motorcycle without wearing helmet prompting the police to flag him down. Instead of stopping, the suspect sped up past the checkpoint.
Police chased the suspect and was cornered. Subjected to body search, Viado yielded four transparent plastic sachets of shabu and several drug paraphernalia.
He is now locked up at Castillejos municipal detention cell facing charges for violation of Section, 11 and 12 of RA 9165.
