CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial police here has confirmed that the body found fl oating in a river in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija was the woman caught on CCTV being forced into a red car in Barangay San Pedro Siongco in Lubao, Pampanga last June 18.
In a report, the police identified the victim as Elizabeth Aguilar, 25, an employee of a fi rm here and breadwinner of her parents and two younger siblings in Sto. Tomas, La Union.
Earlier, the Cabiao police reported having found a body of a woman fl oating on a river in Barangay San Vicente in the town last June 22, just five kilometers from the police station.
Yesterday, Aguilar’s parents who arrived from La Union were able to identify the body found in Cabiao as that of their daughter.
Police said a CCTV camera in the area where Aguilar was abducted on June 18 showed men forcibly pushing her into a red car.
Probers later found out from the Land Transportation Office that the plate number of the car belonged to a truck.
The victim’s father Edward Aquila told police he did not know of anyone who could possibly harm his daughter.
As of yesterday, police had no clue on the suspects.Medical report on the autopsy of the victim still had to be released.
