Police said victim Dennis Siasat, 47, sustained a gunshot on his head that exited on his face. Caliber of the gun used is still unknown.
Another farmer found Siasat sprawled on the concrete pavement of the farm-to-market road in Sitio Parang I, Barangay Ibaba near the water pump.
The victim’s motorcycle that fell down was pinned over one of his legs.
Kerwin Siasat, 27, said he did not know of any enemy of his father.
He said his father left their house at about 8 in the evening of Tuesday to irrigate their rice field, only to be found dead the next morning.
“Sana makonsensiya kayo,” he told the killer/killers of his father.
Senior Insp. Jennifer Cruz, Samal police chief, said investigation is still ongoing to determine the motive for the killing and the identities of the suspects.
