CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Provincial Government of Pampanga continues to bring hope and support to children battling leukemia and those who have undergone liver transplant procedures through its sustained assistance program for young patients and their families.

Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, together with officials from the Department of Social Welfare and Development led by regional director Venus Rebuldela, personally visited and checked on 61 child beneficiaries comprising 12 children who had undergone liver transplant procedures and 49 who are currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

During the gathering, Governor Pineda encouraged parents and guardians to remain strong and continue supporting their children throughout their recovery journey.

“Take good care of the children. Help them grow stronger and encourage them to get well. Most importantly, let us keep them happy. God loves them, and many people are helping them,” the governor.

To help ease the financial burden of treatment, each beneficiary received P15,000 from the Provincial Government of Pampanga, P10,000 from the DSWD, and an additional P10,000 from the Pineda family, providing much-needed support for medical expenses, medications, nutrition, and other essential needs.

One of the beneficiaries’ parents, Lovely Dizon, expressed her gratitude for the assistance. “Thank you very much. This is a great help to us, especially in purchasing medicines, milk, and other necessities for my child. We hope you never grow tired of helping families like ours.”

The initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to compassionate public service and its continuing efforts to improve the lives of Kapampangan families facing serious health challenges.

Also present during the visit were board members Fritzie David-Dizon, Christian Halili, and Cherry Manalo; Executive Assistant IV Angelina Blanco; and provincial social welfare and development office chief Fe Manarang. Pampanga PIO/Photos: Daniel Ombina
