BALANGA City, Bataan: AboitizPower announced Friday its distribution of scholarship grant of P2 million to 200 engineerng students enrolled at the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) here.
AboitizPower through its private limited partnerships GNPower Mariveles Energy Center (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin Limited Co. (GNPD) handed the check to Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia III and Vice Gov. Cris Garcia at The Bunker, seat of the provincial government.
The initial P2M aid is part of the P10M educational grant established by AboitizPower last year for engineering students enrolled at BPSU under the provincial government’s Iskolar ng Bataan.
The company will release P2M yearly as financial assistance for selected students.
Andrea Madrid, AboitizPower GMEC – GNPD vice president for corporate services handed the check to provincial officials. “Our partnership with Bataan goes beyond generating energy. It is about fueling the dreams of the community we serve.”
“Through this partnership with the Iskolar ng Bataan program, we want to give these bright engineering students the peace of mind to focus on their studies and reach their full potential. We thank the Provincial Government for allowing us to be a part of their educational journey,” Madrid added.
