ABUCAY, Bataan – A drug suspect with a warrant of arrest from Ormoc City was gunned down when he allegedly tried to shoot it out with arresting police offi cers here Saturday night.
Killed was Gleen Dagatan, alias Adan Reyes, 30, native of of Can-Untog, Ormoc , residing in Barangay Tuyo, Balanga City.
Senior Supt. Benjamin Silo, Jr., Bataan police director, said that police operatives were to serve a warrant of arrest issued against Dagatan by Presiding Judge Girlie Borrel-Yu of Branch 5, Ormoc City for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act with bail recommended at P200,000.
“Victim drew his firearm and fired at the direction of the police that forced operatives to fire back,” Silo said.
Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered from Dagatan a loaded .38 revolver and two empty shells, police said.
