FLORIDABLANCA, Pampanga – Eighty-one certificates of land ownership award (CLOA) were handed over to 75 agrarian reform beneficiaries by the Department of Agrarian Reform, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Pampanga and the local government unit here on April 22.

Underscoring the government’s continued commitment to agrarian reform and rural development, the land titles were personally distributed by Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, DAR Region III director Atty. Eric Francis Luna, and Mayor Michael Galang.

“This program is for you. Congratulations, you have finally achieved what you have long been hoping for. Take care of your land titles and develop them. We at the Capitol, together with the DAR, will not stop here—our support does not end here. We will find ways to continue helping you and your families,” the governor told the beneficiaries.

Among them was Carmelito Santos, who became emotional upon finally receiving the title to a parcel of land he purchased in 1972. “The title is the most important thing in my life. Without the mother title, everything is still useless. I am proud that after 50 years, I finally have a title to my land.”

The distribution forms part of the intensified implementation of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), which aims to provide farmers with free legal ownership of agricultural lands.

The initiative reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to empower farmers, strengthen land tenure security, and promote sustainable agricultural growth in the province. Pampanga PIO/Photos: Daniel Ombina
