ANGELES CITY — Converge ICT Solutions launched its National Digital Infrastructure on Friday, March 20, at the Converge Angeles City Data Center.

“The foundation is built. The digital backbone is in place. The Philippines is ready,” declared Converge CEO and cofounder Dennis Anthony Uy at the launch, noting that the initiative is the result of years of investment, planning, and execution.

Uy cited Converge’s nationwide fiber expansion, satellite connectivity for remote communities, and international subsea cable systems.

He announced that the Bifrost subsea cable, linking the Philippines directly to Singapore and the United States, is now live, along with the SEAH2X cable system. “These projects strengthen international connectivity and position the Philippines within the global digital network,” Uy said.

“What we are launching today is a complete national digital infrastructure. This is a fullstack platform designed to support the needs of a modern digital economy,” he added.

Uy also introduced Converge Cloud, built on sovereign incountry infrastructure. “Enterprises gain the ability to innovate and scale. SMEs gain access to advanced digital tools. The government gains stronger platforms for public service delivery. Filipino developers gain a worldclass environment to build and deploy locally,” he said.

First Lady Louise AranetaMarcos, Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda, Pampanga Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Gov. Dennis ”Delta” Pineda, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, Clark Development Corp. president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera and chairman Atty. Edgardo Pamintuan, and other officials joined the launch.

“Today’s launch is more than just infrastructure. It is a clear signal that the Philippines is no longer thinking small when it comes to connectivity. We are seeing a shift,” Secretary Aguda said.

“At Converge, we build infrastructure to deliver real positive impact to society. This is Tech for Good. Technology that creates access and enables opportunity. Technology that uplifts lives and moves the country forward,” Uy concluded. Punto Lifestyle Team/Contributed photos
