3 dead in ‘cold-blooded’ attack in NE

STO. DOMINGO, Nueva Ecija – Three people, including a woman, were found dead in what police said could be a cold-blooded attack by still unidentified suspects in Barangay Baloc here Saturday.

Police identified the fatalities as Romulo Sangalang, 82, resident of Barangay San Francisco, Mabalacat City, Pampanga; Theodore Sangalang, driver, of legal age, resident of Guimba, Nueva Ecija; and Rose Yuson, married, household help, of Barangay Baloc here.

Police said a village resident discovered the dead bodies at around 9:30 a.m. and was reported to the town police at about 11:30 also that morning.

Initial investigation showed the two men were found right outside their container van (used as living quarters), both hogtied with tire wires and bore gunshot wounds in their heads.

The woman, on the other hand, was lying dead near the bed with multiple gunshot wounds in her body inside the container van where several documents were in disarray.

“The door lock of the container van had been forcibly destroyed, and the cabinets inside were in disarray,” police reported.

Investigators also found documents inside a black Chevrolet (AAU 8316) owned by the elder Sangalang to be also “in disarray.”

Probers recovered several pieces of fired cartridges from .45 and 9mm pistols.

Police are still probing to establish the motive as well as the identities of the suspects.
