CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Sports met culture on the courts as Hakone and Pickle & Friends, Co. successfully hosted a vibrant pickleball social on February 12 at Courtside Pickleball, drawing players and matcha lovers into one energetic Thursday night affair.
From 8 PM until midnight, participants rallied through five hours of open play, trading powerful serves and laughter under the lights. The event blended friendly competition with curated experiences, proving that pickleball could be as much about connection as it was about scoring points.

Each registered pair enjoyed two Hakone drinks of their choice, from premium matcha to refreshing blends, along with a mini cookie treat. Guests also received a 10 percent discount on Hakone merchandise, adding a retail twist to the evening’s lineup.
The courts pulsed with music as DJ Drew delivered a live set that kept the crowd energized between games. Community partners elevated the social atmosphere, with Hash Commons joining the collaboration and wink.photobooth capturing candid courtside memories.

Adding a thoughtful touch, Beauty Library offered free feminine mist to all participating ladies, rounding out the night with a gesture of care and celebration.
Organizers placed player requests on a waitlist system to ensure smooth court rotations and confirmed slots upon payment verification, reflecting the strong turnout and growing enthusiasm for the sport in the city.

More than just a game night, the Hakone and Pickle & Friends social became a space where premium matcha flowed, paddles struck in rhythm, and new friendships formed across the net.
