HERMOSA, Bataan- The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on Tuesday and Wednesday distributed relief goods to 6,000 families heavily affected by the monsoon rains and tropical storm Odette in Zambales and Bataan.
“We are doing this relief mission to areas where we have facilities that were hard hit by Odette and habagat as part of our corporate social responsibility,” NGCP – North Luzon corporate affairs head Lilibeth Gaydowen said.
NGCP has substations in Kalaklan, Olongapo City and Balsik in Hermosa, Bataan. Gaydowen said they distributed 4,000 bags of relief goods for fl ood victims in Subic town and Olongapo City and 2,000 bags for Barangays Balsik, Pulo and Almacen in Hermosa.
“Maraming salamat po,” said an old woman. “Lampas- tao tubig sa bahay namin sa Almacen,” other old women said.
